Personal land acknowledgement

I am privileged to live, work, and play on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and land that is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. Living near the shores of Lake Ontario, I am reminded of all those that have come before me in walking on this land and enjoying these waters, and the responsibility to protect these beautiful resources for generations yet to come.

I plan to support their history by learning more about reconciliation and sharing information to aid the education of our current generation.
